Dr. Jerry Underbrink
Dr. Jerry Underbrink was born and raised in South Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Following graduation, he completed an internship at Univ. of California, at Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital in 1975. Dr. Underbrink opened the Animal Medical Clinic practice at this same location in 1977. He treats companion animals, exotics, equine, bovine and other farm animals. He is married to his lovely wife Carolyn, and they have 3 children and 4 grandsons & 2 granddaughters.
Dr. Tim DelValle
Dr. DelValle joined the practice in November 2017. He is a 2017 graduate from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in a small town in Central Illinois, the son of a medical doctor. He became interested in veterinary medicine, specifically rural mixed animal practice, while in high school and decided to major in Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois with a focus on Pre-Veterinary Medicine. After graduating vet school in 2017 from Missouri he headed south to Texas with his fiancé Glory whom he met as a classmate in school. Dr. DelValle and his fiancé have two cats, Gerard and Arquera, and a Dalmation named June. He hopes to have his own cattle herd as well one day. In his free time he enjoys going to the beach with Glory, riding his dirt bike, and going on snowmobile trips with his dad and brother.
Dana Bobbitt is our Practice Manager. She has been working in the veterinary field since 1994, and has worked in every department of a vet clinic since then. Dana and her family moved here from East Texas in the summer of 2007, and she has been at AMC since August 2007. She and her husband Joe have 3 children, McKayla, Weston & Morgan. Their four legged family consists of a Great Dane, a Pit Bull, a Dachshund, a Toy Poodle, a German Shepherd, a Chihuahua, a Tortoise Shell cat, 2 Siamese cats, a Bearded Dragon and an African Grey Parrot. In her spare time, you will normally find her at her children's sporting events. Dana and her family are active members of Retama Park Baptist Church.
Patricia Cumberland is our bookkeeper . She has been with AMC since 1985. Patricia was born in Kleberg Co. and has lived here all her life. She attended Riviera High School and graduated from Texas A&I University. She currently has no pets, but she loves to feed the birds at her house. Patricia is a active member of St Gertrude Catholic Church. She is married to her wonderful husband, Allan, since 1967. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Patricia's hobbies include: bird watching, baking, visiting grandchildren and volunteering around the community and at church.
Cassie Esparza is our Kennel/Grooming Supervisor. She started with AMC in 2003 as a kennel attendant. Cassie has lived in the Kingsville/Bishop area all of her life. She attended TAMUK where she majored in criminology and minored in sociology, graduating in 2005. She has two beautiful daughters and a son named. Most of Cassie's spare time these days is taken up by "kiddo" time. Cassie does enjoy playing softball when she gets a chance. Her pets include 2 spaniel/terrier mix dogs.
Daniella (Dani) Garcia
Dani Garcia has been a vet technician here since August 2004. She is originally from San Antonio. Dani moved to Kingsville and acquired her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from TAMUK. Dani likes to spend her free time playing softball and working out. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her cats.
Kim is a vet technician and has been with AMC since January 2006. She grew up in the Kingsville area and graduated from Bishop High School. Kim worked for Animal Care and Control in Corpus Christi for 8 years as an Animal Cruelty Investigator/Field Officer before coming to our practice. She has owned horses all her life and rodeoed in high school. Kim's hobbies are bow hunting, fishing, and anything to do with her horses. She has a son named Ty that enjoys all the same hobbies as mom. They spend all their extra time together doing something outside. She also has a mastiff, a toy poodle and a chihuahua mix that are part of her four legged family.
This is Debbie Perea. She has been a receptionist with us since November 2007, and in October 2009 she moved to the position of Inventory Manager. Her and her husband George have 2 sons, Henry & Anthony, and all live in Bishop. (Henry works with us, along with his wife Samantha). Debbie's hobbies include beading jewelry, collecting antique furniture, reading and shopping. Debbie's pets include Tipsy the 3 legged Poodle and 4 cats.
Henry and Samantha Perea
This is Henry and Samantha. Sam started with AMC as a kennel attendant in 2006, and became a receptionist in 2008. In January of 2014, she became a team leader as Head Receptionist. Her four legged children are "Baby" the dachshund & "Sookie" a ridgeback mix and Tommy the crazy cat. She enjoys spending time with her family and her husband Henry. She also loves to read!
Henry is our bather. He started at the clinic in March of 2008 as a kennel attendant. In 2012 he became the AMC bather. Henry loves sports and spends his spare time riding his bike and working out. He is attending Grand Canyon University and will be graduating with his Bachelors in Accounting in January 2015.
Cindy is our full time groomer. She has been at AMC since 1999. She enjoys spending time with her husband Joey and their son. You can find her cheering for her son at his baseball and basketball games!
